Nefeli Abastado
Nefeli, a dedicated and dynamic professional with a global perspective, is drawing from her international experiences, bringing a multicultural dimension to her work. Her dedication to inclusivity and her celebration of Greece's Levantine heritage make her stand out from the ‘classical Greece’ stereotypes.
Her qualifications, include a BA in Education (University of Patras, GR), a Post-Graduate Certificate in teaching Modern Foreign Languages (University of East Anglia, UK), and an MSc in Psychology (Northumbria University, UK). Currently, she is enrolled at the Department of Foreign Languages, Interpretation and Translation (Ionian University, GR).
Her studies have equipped her with an excellent understanding of language acquisition, learning needs and instructional scaffolding.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Nefeli’s passion and main focus is to break the language barrier. She has crafted a unique curriculum and innovative teaching methods designed for effective language learning with the focus of creating confident speakers.
In addition to her language expertise, being a multilingual person herself, Nefeli finds uncovering connections between Greek and other languages fascinating and uses that to help students grasp new concepts easily.
Cigay Lafogianni
Cigay is a highly motivated English language teacher with more than 15 years of experience in teaching youngsters and adults in diverse educational settings.
On top of that she is an oral assessor for Cambridge and ESB speaking board.
Her main focus is for everyone to gain the confidence to communicate using written and oral language and to feel free to express themselves with ease.
Throughout her career she has designed and implemented curricula based on the individual’s needs especially in the business sector allowing students not only to understand the fundamentals of the English language, but also apply them to a professional level.
As for her studies she owns a BA degree in Travel and Tourism Management from the University of Brighton, UK and an EFL teacher’s license certified by the Greek Ministry of Education.
